Sault Minor Football report

Three touchdowns by David Quesnele powerd Aurora's Westside past Scholars 28-0 in bantam division play during week five action in the Sault Minor Football Association.

Zach Dodds also scored for Aurora's who have secured first place in the Bantam Division with one week of action remaining.

A battle for second place in the division remains as Firefighters and Brody's fought to 16-16 tie. Max Cicchello led Firefighters with two touchdowns. Todd Wagner and Greg Battagin replied for Brody's.

In the tyke division, Romes picked up their second consecutive win with a 31-8 victory over GP Flakeboard. Rome's quarterback Marc Cuglietta was the star running for two touchdowns and passing another to Carter Lukenda. Rhys Mahler also factored in on the scoring for Romes while Matthew Fitton scored for GP in a losing cause.

Nothing was settled in a battle of undefeated squads as Joey Calzones and Sports Gold battled to a 7-7 draw. Jordan Hoover scored for Sports Gold while Jake Wright responded for Joey Calzones.

In myte division action, a 70-yard quarterback keeper by MemberCARE quarterback Neil Shaule late in the game proved to be the winner as MemberCARE fought from behind to defeat Lop Lop's 14-8. Jordan Tomasone also scored on a 70-yard run for the winners. Braedan Turco caught a pass from running back Matthew Mitchell for the only score for Lop Lop's.

JMC remained undefeated on the season with a 28-7 win over Rezolution Raiders. David Toppan led JMC with two touchdowns with singles going to Peter Greve and Mark Bruni. Ethan MacGillvray on a quarterback sneak scored the lone touchdown for Rezolution.
