A balanced offence and a stingy defence was the difference as the Rezolution Raiders defeated Lop Lops 42-22 for their first myte division win of the season in Sault Minor Football Association play in week three.

Lop Lops opened the scoring with a halfback pass from Matthew Mitchell to Aidan MacLeod but it wouldn't stand. Thomas Pratt led Rezolution's offence with three touchdowns. Joshua Miskiw scored two and Ryan Alexander contributed with one. Matthew Mitchell was in on all of Lop Lop's scoring, reaching the end zone twice and throwing for another.

The one-headed monster of the JMC offence struck again in JMC's 21-14-nail biter over MemberCARE Rhino's. JMC scatback David Toppan was the difference with three touchdowns as JMC erased a 14-7 halftime deficit to remain undefeated.

MemberCARE's Justin Elgwren in his first action at running back this season showed his blazing speed taking the second play of the game 60 yards for the games first score. He would also score another touchdown before halftime.

MemberCARE's defence frustrated JMC's running game in the first half. An early second half-touchdown by JMC and an untimely injury to MemberCARE quarterback Neil Shaule seemed to let the steam out of surging Rhino squad who fall to 1-2 on the season.

In the tyke division, Mario Bruni and Paul Orlando connected for two majors in SportsGold's 39-14 victory over Tin Grin's. Bruni arguably one of the best quarterbacks in Sault Minor Football history also found Kaitlyn Cameron in the end zone and took one in himself on a 25-yard bootleg.

Brock Hoover also scored for Sportsgold who remain undefeated. Greg Gagnon scored twice for Tin Grins in a losing effort.

Joey Calzone's Patrick Watling playing quarterback for the first time this season showed he might get the call again as he connected with Colin Booth on a 35-yard pass in Joey Calzone's 25-19 win over GP Flakeboard.

Watling also ran one in himself and Jerret Semzyszyn returned a kick-off to complete the scoring and keep Joey Calzone's undefeated. Anthony Butorac scored two touchdowns including a 35 yard swing pass for a major. Matthew Fitton also scored for GP in losing cause.

In bantam division play, A 35-yd bootleg by Aurora's quarterback Brian Nanne proved to be the difference as Aurora's Wildthings upended Firefighters 14-6. David Quesnele had the other touchdown for Aurora's who remain undefeated on the season. Eric Osborne scored for Firefighters on a losing cause.

Scholar's offence sputtered in a 22-0 loss to Brody's. Brody's quarterback Todd Wagner hooked up with Greg Battagin for two scores including a 35-yard strike to lead Brody's to their first win of the season. Justin Sauerzopf also scored for Brody's.
