S.M.F.A QUARTERFINAL PLAYOFF RESULTS

TYKE DIVISION

With his team only leading 14-8 at halftime, Sal Dan's Michael Nelson scored three of his four touchdowns in the second half as Sal Dan defeated Flakeboard 39-20.

David Toppan reached the end zone twice to round out the scoring for Sal Dan. Flakeboard's running back Nicholas Oliviero scored two touchdowns along the ground and teammate Robert O'neil scored once for his team. Michael Nelson was the Scholars' Learning Player of the Game.

BANTAM DIVISION

In a game filled with momentum changes, Scholar's wide receiver Travis Ames scored on a 90 yard double reverse in the final minutes to force overtime and teammate Bryan Greco scored the only touchdown in the final session as Scholar's defeated the Firefighters 34-28.

Chad Thibodeau, Matthew Fitton, and Paul Muio also scored for Scholars. Firefighter's Quarterback Michael Colizza had a strong game and scored on two touchdown runs. He also connected with receiver Eric Osborne on a nice 30 touchdown pass. Firefighter's fullback Kyle Marcinkowski rumbled in from 45 yards out to complete the scoring. Scholar's Bryan Greco earned the Player of the Game honours.

MYTE DIVISION

In the season finale, Lop Lops Aidan Macleod scored four touchdowns to lead his team to a 28-14 victory over Community First. Alex Brownlee had a strong performance on defense for Lop Lops earning the player of the game honours. Community Firsts Lauturo Frecha and Devon Pigeon scored a touchdown each for their team.

Rezolution's James White reached the end zone twice and teammates Jordan Rooney and Quinn Barban each had a touchdown a piece as the Raiders defeated J.M.C. Builders 28-7. J.M.C's Cade Nolan scored his team's lone touchdown. Player of the Game honours went to Rezolution's Jaron Rowe for his defensive efforts.

TYKE DIVISION

Sports Gold's Kyle Dionisi scored three touchdowns to lead his team to a 38-18 victory over Sal Dan. Raymond Houle with two touchdowns and Andrew Paluzzi with one rounded out the scoring for Sports Gold. Sal Dan's Michael Nelson reached the end zone twice and Blake Iannelli once for their team. Player of the Game went to Sports Gold's Kaitlyn Cameron.

In what was a see saw battle between the two teams, Rome's hung on for a 30-22 win over Flakeboard. Aldechi Fenos continued his strong play with two touchdowns for Rome's while teammates Marlon Imasogie and Mathew Mitchell scored one touchdown each to complete the scoring. Aaron Vilaca, Robert O'neil and Nicholas Oliviero each scored one touchdown for Flakeboard. Flakeboard's Robert O'neil earned the Player of the Game honours.

BANTAM DIVISION

Aurora's David Quesnele scored four touchdowns and his team dominated from start to finish as they defeated Brody's 38-16. Alex Griffa also scored for Aurora's on a touchdown reception from Quarterback Brian Nanne. Brody's Justin Sauerzopf scored both of his team's touchdowns. Quesnele was given the Player of the Game honours.

Northshore Telus's James Castellani scored three touchdowns and teammate J.J. Parrott scored twice as Telus defeated the Firefighters 35-26. Firefighters Michael Colizza scored twice and receiver Eric Osborne reached the end zone once for their team. Castellani earned Player of the Game honours.
