In the first Myte Division championship game in Sault Minor Football Association history, the fans were treated to a great display of football on both sides of the ball as the league concluded their season on Sunday.

Rezolution's high powered offense flexed it's muscle once again and their defense stopped Lop Lops' high powered offense during the final seconds as Rezolution won a see-saw battle 28-21.

Joshua Miskiw continued to show why he is one of the league's best running backs as he ran for over 150 yards and scored three times. His back field partner, Thomas Pratt, also had a big game running the ball and scored the winning touchdown with about four minutes to play.

Lop Lops was led by Mathew Mitchell, who ran through and around defenders for positive yards and Lops Lops first touchdown. Running back Braedan Turco and quarterback Justin Peter Stefanizzi rounded out the scoring.

* TYKE:

It was the battle of the undefeated in the Tyke Division Championship game. The fans were treated to another beauty as both teams traded touchdowns and big defensive plays all game long.

Sports Gold scored first as quarterback Mario Bruni hooked up with his favorite receiver Brock Hoover for a 45 yard touchdown pass. Joey Calzone's answered with a touchdown drive of their own when running back Patrick Watling weaved his way through the defense on his way to a 50 yard touchdown run.

A beautiful 40 yard bootleg pass from Sports Gold's Bruni to wide receiver Paul Orlando, and touchdown run by Calzone's Jake Wright rounded out the first half scoring as Sports Gold led 18-16 at the break.

The second half was more of the same as Bruni led his team down the field again, this time hooking up with Jordan Hoover on a 20 yard touchdown pass. Paul Orlando's third straight kicking two-point convert made the score 27-16.

Calzone's running back's Wright and Jerret Semzyszyn traded big runs on the next drive with Wright ending it with another touchdown run to make it 27-24. It was then that Joey Calzone's defense stepped up big, stopping the high powered Sports Gold offense setting up Joey Calzone's game winning drive.

Quarterback Spencer MacGillvray led his team down the field and finished the drive with a touchdown of his own on a quarterback sweep to put his team up for good 30-27.

* BANTAM:

The top two teams in the Bantam Division did not disappoint the fans as both teams played hard to the final whistle. Brody's made all the proper adjustments on offense and their defense showed why they were one of the best down the stretch as they hung on for a 16-2 victory.

Brody's star quarterback Todd Wagner broke a finger in his throwing hand minutes before game time causing their coaches to make adjustments in their offensive backfield. Justin Sauerzopf took over behind center and led his team down the field on the opening drive, capping it with a 15 yard touchdown run to open the scoring.

Aurora's high powered offense led by quarterback Brian Nanne and running backs David Quesnele and Matthew Buchan could not solve Brody's stingy defense and the teams went into the locker room with Brody's leading 8-0.

Brody's would score on their opening drive in the second half as Brian Babic ran 35 yards for his first major of the year. Brody's kicked another two point convert to lead 16-0.

Defense ruled the rest of the game as both teams offenses found themselves moving in the wrong direction drive after drive.

Aurora's was led on defense by hard hitting linebacker Tyler Beauchamp, and their run stuffing defensive tackle Billy-Joe Bye. Brody's Brian Babic, Matt Wagner, Robert Ramsay, Nicholas Barbon and Jarvis Milne all had stellar games shutting down Aurora's offense.

A safety in the end zone by Aurora's defense rounded out the scoring.
