WEEK # 4 RESULTS

TYKE DIVISION

In the first Tyke division game, runningback Matthew Mitchell reached the end zone three times as Rome's defeated Flakeboard 30-18. Teammate and backfield partner Matthew Ouellet scored Rome's other touchdown. Flakeboard quarterback James White scored on a long touchdown run and hooked up with receiver Daniel Palumbo for another major. Running back Joshua Miskiw threw a touchdown pass on a halfback option play to receiver Matthew White to complete the scoring for Flakeboard. Rome's Mitchell was selected as the Scholars' Learning Player of the Game.

The other Tyke division match-up was a back and forth affair with Sal Dan hanging on to an 18-12 victory over Calzone's. David Toppan had a strong game for Sal Dan scoring on two nice touchdown runs. Quarterback Justin Peter Stefanizzi scored on a QB sneak from the one yard line to round out the scoring. Calzone's Ethan MacGillvary and Mitchell Mazzuca reached the end zone once apiece for their team. Sal Dan's Cade Nolan was selected as the player of the game.

BANTAM DIVISION

Chad Thibodeau's 111 yard interception return and teammate Colin Booth's two long touchdown runs sparked Scholars' Learning to a 28-7 victory over Filtrec. Running back Justin Felix also found the end zone for Scholars on a touchdown run. Filtrec's Ben Muncaster reached the end zone for his team's lone touchdown. Calzone's Thibodeau added another interception to go along with his many tackles to earn him the Player of the Game honours.

In the second Bantam Division match up, both teams executed well on offense in a tight 35-30 victory for Aurora's over Stitch King. Aurora's Anthony Butorac had another strong game scoring the game winning touchdown on a pass from Mario Bruni, and scoring on two more touchdown runs. Offensive Lineman Benjamin Watson and running back Marcus Dias completed the scoring for Aurora's. Running Back's Brock Hoover and Alex Morrision both had outstanding games for Stitch King scoring two touchdowns apiece. Hoover's two long scoring runs and his many rushing yards earned him the Scholar's player of the Game honours.

Firefighters one/two punch of Trevor Plumley and Tanner Evans scored one touchdown apiece and their defense did the rest as Firefighters hung on late for a thrilling 14-6 victory over Brody's. Brody's standout defensive lineman Andrew Drinkwater forced a fumble from the quarterback and then recovered it in the end zone for his team's only touchdown. Brody's linebacker Rhys Mahler was all over the field tallying many tackles and sacks on his way to earning the Player of the Game.
