Sault Major set to host two NOHA Tournament of Champions

SAULT MAJOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

The Sault Major Hockey Association is proud to present the Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) Tournament of Champions from Friday March 9th to Sunday March 11th, 2007.

Teams competing in the AA Bantam and BB Bantam divisions will keep the John Rhodes Sports Complex and the Rankin Arena busy during this highly skilled competition. A total of 11 championship teams are registered including teams from the Sault Marie area, as well as Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Temiskiming and Wawa.

Admission for the 3 day tournament: Adult Weekend Pass $15.00 - Student Weekend Pass $10.00 Adult Day Pass $7.00 - Student $4.00 Children under 10 "Free" Seniors by donation

BANTAM C NOHA PLAY-OFFS FIVE TEAMS – The teams will play a Single Round Robin Series. The four top teams will advance to the semi-finals: 4th vs. 1st – 3rd vs. 2nd. The two semi-final winners will advance to the Championship Game.

SIX TEAMS – The teams will be divided into two groups of three teams. In the Round Robin Series, teams will cross-over and play all teams in the other division. After the Round Robin, the teams will be ranked for positions one through six. The four top teams will advance to the semi-finals: 4th vs. 1st – 3rd vs. 2nd. The two semi-final winners will advance to the Championship Game.
