Five games were scheduled in Sault Female Hockey League play last weekend. Hanna Welton scored three goals and Tasha McClelland posted the shutout to lead Best Western past the Thessalon Lions 8-0 in intermediate division play.

Five games were scheduled in Sault Female Hockey League play last weekend.

Hanna Welton scored three goals and Tasha McClelland posted the shutout to lead Best Western past the Thessalon Lions 8-0 in intermediate division play.

Ashley Dellaire added two goals for the winners while singles went to Hillary Mallinger, Robin Koskela and Erica Aceti.

McClelland then recorded another shutout as Best Western blanked Thessalon a second time 3-0. Koskela, Holly Maskell and Aceti provided the scoring.

In another intermediate game, Heather King, Samantha Filek and Jordana Sacco scored in an AOE Wildcats 3-2 win over Station Mall. Allison Toni and Brittany Morin replied in a losing cause.

In the junior division, Haley Julien scored twice to lead the Thessalon Lions past Stitch King 4-1. Stephanie Fluke and Sydney Lovelace also scored for the winners while Sadie Puddister replied for Stitch King.

Kylie Payeur then scored two goals to pace Stitch King to a 2-2 tie with the Lions.
