Sault Female Hockey Association crowns playoff champions

The Sault Female Hockey Association concluded their season with the final games in the best-of-three finals for both the Junior and Intermediate Divisions being decided by one goal margins.

In the Junior Division, Kelsie Bordin scored the winner midway through the third period to give Purvis Marine a 3-2 victory over Flakeboard Company. Also scoring for Purvis were Tamara Behrens and Katie Wardlaw, replying for Flakeboard was Mikayla Ferlaino and Taylor Tangie. Purvis won the best-of-three final 2 games to 1.

In Intermediate action, Tasha McClelland had the shut-out as Holiday Inn blanked Station Mall 1-0. Rebecca Fewchuk had the lone Holiday Inn goal early in the third period. Holiday Inn won the best-of-three series 2-1.
