Sault College wins pre-season tune up

The Sault College Cougars men's basketball team cruised to a victory in Sudbury over Cambrian College on Friday night as the club begins to fine tune for the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association season.

Ryan Vetrie poured in 23 points and Andrew Turgeon 22 for the Cougars in the 94-71 win. Neil Joy and Mike Bouchard each added 10 points.

The Cougars will be back in action next weekend along with the Algoma University College Thunderbirds as Sault College hosts the Cougar Classic.

The six-team tournament will also feature a local City Men's Basketball League select team and three other American teams.

The tournament begins on Friday at 5 p.m.

LOOKING FOR VARSITY COUGAR ALUMNI

SAULT COLLEGE CELEBRATING 40 YEARS, OCTOBER 21 & 22

As part of the Sault College's 40th year, a special reunion has been planned by our Foundation and Alumni Office. There are numerous events planned including COUGAR ALUMNI basketball, volleyball and hockey games

We are currently looking for former COUGAR ALUMS who once dawned the "blue and green" to take part in reunion games scheduled for the Friday night event. The Women's volleyball game will be at 5pm, followed by men's basketball at 7pm and Men's Ice Hockey at 9pm.
