*** COUGAR PROFILE OF THE WEEK:

Katrina Zantinge

This week's Cougar Profile belongs to Katrina Zantinge, a talented rookie for the Lady Cougar volleyball and first year Nursing student from Guelph, Ontario. Katrina is a dedicated team player who is focused and determined to make a contribution to this year's team.

Standing at 5'6, Katrina starts at the power position and uses her outstanding vertical to get balls past her defenders. In addition to her athletic talents, she has a positive team attitude and is well liked by her teammates. In high school, at the Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute, she was an all-star on her team.

"She works hard all of the time, I get 100% effort in every practice and every game," adds 5th year head coach Jeremy Murdoch. "Katrina has the tools to be a solid player in this league."

You can see Katrina, along with the rest of her teammates take on the Mohawk Mountaineers on Saturday Nov 26th, at 12 noon, here at Sault College.

*** EXHIBITION WEEKEND FOR COUGARS:

After a successful road trip down south last weekend, the Cougars will use a break from league play for some exhibition games.

On Friday, November 11 at 4:30 p.m., the Sault College Men's Basketball team will be playing Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan while the ladies volleyball team will be at Cambrian College in Sudbury for an invitational tournament.

The Men's Basketball team is currently holding a record of three wins and one loss and tied for first in the OCAA West Region. Their next league games will be a swing trip November 18 and 19 where they will play against Redeemer College (Ancaster) and then over to Welland to face Niagara.

The Women's Volleyball team will also join the men on the road next week weekend in the hopes to improve their record of 1-3.
