In Barrie, Daniel Michalsky scored two goals, including the winner 13:35 into overtime to lift the Colts to a 3-2 win over the Brampton Battalion in the OHL playoffs on Saturday.

The Colts, who finished 26 points behind the Battalion in the regular season, lead the series 2-0 after winning Game 1 in Brampton on Thursday.

Michalsky jumped on a rebound to score the winner after a point shot by Barrie captain Tomas Marcinko got through to the net.

"Marcinko made a great play with the shot on net and I just batted it in," said Michalsky, the first star of the game. "If you want to score goals, you just go to the front of the net because that's where it's going to end up."

Shawn Frank opened the scoring midway through the first period for Barrie and Michalsky scored with two seconds left in the second period.

Cody Hodgson scored in the second period and Thomas Stajan tied the game with 3:16 left in regulation time. Bryan Pitton made 36 saves for Brampton.

Michael Hutchinson was the second star after making 49 saves for the Colts.

"He's playing unbelievable," Michalsky said. "He's the reason why we're in this series. If you want to go far in the playoffs, you have to have great goaltending and Hutch has been great for us."

Kitchener Rangers 6, Plymouth Whalers 4

In Plymouth, MI, Yannick Weber and Nazim Kadri each scored two goals to help the Kitchener Rangers to a 6-4 win over the Plymouth Whalers.

Kitchener leads the seris 2-0.

Matt Halischuk and Mike Duco also scored for the Rangers while Justin Azevedo and Mikkel Boedker each chipped in with a pair of assists.

Steve Mason made 36 saves for the win.

Chris Terry, A.J. Jenks, Christian Steingraber and Patrick Lee scored for the Whalers while Andrew Fournier added a pair of helpers.

Jeremy Smith allowed six goals on 28 shots before Matt Hackett stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief.

Guelph Storm 4, London Knights 1

In Guelph, Michael Caruso scored a goal and added two assists to help the Storm to a 4-1 win over the London Knights. Guelph leads the series 2-0.

Drew Doughty, Rafael Rotter and Anthony Nigro also scored and Thomas McCollum made 24 saves for the win.

Steve Tarasuk replied for London while Jhase Sinderman turned aside 33 shots.

Belleville Bulls 4, Peterborough Petes 3

In Belleville, Matt Beleskey scored the winning goal on a powerplay midway through the third period to lift the Bulls to a 4-3 win over the Peterborough Petes. Belleville leads the series 2-1.

Keaton Turkiewicz and Bryan Cameron scored less than a minute apart in the first period to stake the Bulls to a two goal lead. A.J. Perry also scored and Mike Murphy made 29 saves in the win.

Arturs Kulda put the Petes on the board with a shorthanded effort in the first period. Yves Bastien added a shorthanded goal in the second period and Kenzie Sheppard tied the game with a powerplay marker early in the third period.

Trevor Cann stopped 45 of 49 shots.
