The St. Basil Saints advanced to the quarterfinal round at the Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association (OFSAA) Boys AA Basketball championships in Perth this week.
On Tuesday, the 13th ranked Saints fell to Dundas Parkside 59-34 in the quarterfinals. Chris Hunt poured in 16 points for the Saints.
In order to qualify for the quarterfinal, St. Basil faced a must win game on Tuesday morning after an opening loss on Monday.
Nick DiDonato drained 23 points as the Saints stunned fourth ranked WoodBridge 63-48.
In their 58-56 overtime loss to seventh seeded St. Joseph from Cornwall, DiDonato led the team with 21 points.
