Sabercats cap season with award presentations

The Sault Sabercats officially put an end to the 2007 Ontario Varsity Football League season by handing out awards last week at a team banquet. The Sabercats finished the season out of the playoff hunt with a 3-4-1 record.

MVP - John Mullin MVP Offense - John Widgett (WR), Peter McGonegal (RB) MVP Defense - Matt Ritchie (LB), Jordan Verdone (LB) Most Improved Offense - Chris Tithecott (FB) Most Improved Defense - Dave Morano (DB) Rookie of the Year - Dan Perri (DL) Sabercats Award - Gary Leith Player's Choice MVP - Gary Leith Most Valuable Lineman - Mark Annett

Graduating Players - Clay Tessier, Spencer Kenney, Jason Amadio, Zach Clement, Peter McGonegal, Mark Annett, Mike Matthews, Jon Turner and Tom Rose.
