Quesnele back; Muzzin remains on the shelf

The Soo Greyhounds would like to announce that defenceman Michael Quesnele will be re-joining the team following the Christmas Break.

The Sault Ste. Marie native most recently played with our affiliate franchise, the Soo Thunderbirds, on Wednesday, but his services will be once again find themselves with the Hounds.

In 6-career OHL games Quesnele has 1 goal and 1 assist while being named the first-star in only his third game. The club has also received further medical reports on their 1st Round draft pick from this summer's OHL Priority Selection, Jacob Muzzin.

Jacob met with doctors at the Fowler Clinic in London, Ontario on Monday, December 19th but did not receive clearance to appear in game action as of yet.

The 6'2" rearguard has been encouraged to continue his rehab and resume practicing and skating with the Hounds.

The doctors feel that Jacob's rehab and progress from the herniated disc in his back is on schedule and they are projecting a full recovery in the near future.

Jacob will be re-evaluated at the end of January to determine his progress.

Mike, Jacob and the entire Greyhounds team will return to Sault Ste. Marie on December 26th.

Practices resume that evening at Memorial Gardens as the locals prepare for their next two games: Wednesday, December 28th @ Sudbury (7 p.m.) and Friday, December 30th VS Sarnia (7:30 p.m.)
