Price captures WPSA semi-pro open championship

J.P. Price completed the last WPSA Snowcross Michigan Regional race of the season at Tree Tops Resort, outside of Gaylord, Michigan.

J.P. Price completed the last WPSA Snowcross Michigan Regional race of the season at Tree Tops Resort, outside of Gaylord, Michigan.

Other than some rain on Saturday, Price rode very hard, even though he had sprained his left knee the week before at Lake Geneva. In the semi-pro stock 600 class, he qualified fourth and finished fifth in the final. In semi-pro open class, he qualified third and finished third in the final. In semi-pro stock 440, he qualified ninth and finished third in the final. Price entered the weekend with a 21 point lead in the semi-pro open class and clinched the WPSA Michigan Regional Semi-pro Open Championship on Sunday. In the other two classes, the official standings have yet to be posted.
