The Soo Greyhounds went into last night's contest with the London Knights looking to snap a 5-game winless skid that has seen the team drop to last place in the OHL's West Division.

In the end the London Knights found themselves walking away from the Memorial Gardens with 2 points.

After going shotless in the 1st period and falling behind early in the 2nd period on a goal by Greyhound rookie Tyler Dutchyshen, the Knights made sure that their first shot was a big one.

Knight winger Ryan Hare made the Knights 1st shot of the game at 4:53 of the 2nd period an important one as he beat Greyhound goaltender Joey Biasucci to tie the game at 1 apiece.

The Knights never looked back. Led by 3 goals from Corey Perry the Knights extended the Greyhound winless skid to 6 games with a 5-1 victory over the Greyhounds last night. Perry, the game's 2nd star, with 3, Ryan Hare and Kyle Piwowarczyck rounded out the London scoring, while the Knights managed to finish the game with 20 shots.

The goal by Tyler Dutchyshen for the Greyhounds was his first Ontario Hockey League goal. Chris Houle stopped 30 shots and was solid in the victory. Joey Biasucci, on the other hand, faced just 20 shots on the night, stopping 15 in the loss.

The loss drops the Greyhound record to 1-5-1 on the season while the Knights improve to 2-2-1. Next action for the Greyhounds is on Sunday evening when the Kingston Frontenacs make a stop at Memorial Gardens in their only trip to the Sault this season. Start time for the game is 6 p.m.
