The Great Lakes Bus Lines PeeWee Major "AAA" team competed in the Markham Majors Fall Classic Hockey Tournament over the weekend.

Their first game against Wheatfield Blades was a close one but the Sault Reps managed to hang on to a 5-4 win. James Foster had a pair of goals with singles going to Matthew Pinder, Ryan Vendramin and Michael Caruso.

In the second game against the Ajax Pickering Raiders, the Sault Reps played the majority of the game short handed and did an excellent job killing penalties through-out, the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Matthew Pinder scored the lone goal for the Sault.

The Markham Waxers came out flying in the 3rd match up and the Sault found themselves riddled with penalties once again. Unable to kill the penalties as successfully as last game they fell short losing 4-1. Ryan Vendramin scored in that contest.

Their next game was a must win and the Sault Reps did everything right, controlling the game from start to finish, blanking their opponent Brampton Battalion 3-0. Nicolas Berlingieri earned the shut-out in the victory while Vendramin had a pair of goals and Pinder added one.

In semi-final action early Sunday morning, the Sault Reps were up against the hometown favourite Markham Waxers once again. They held their own defensively the first period, only to give up 4 goals in the second, never to recover losing 5-1. Tyler Brown scored the Sault's goal in the loss.

The coaches were very pleased with their team's performance this weekend and are looking forward to the Challenge Cup at the end of the month.
