Outlaws beat Steelers in overtime

The Sault Steelers fell to 0-2 in Northern Football Conference action after a road loss to Tri-City

Following a week two loss to Sarnia at home one week ago, the Sault Steelers were back in action on Saturday night on the road against the Tri-City Outlaws.

Leading 7-1 through three quarters, the Steelers surrendered six fourth-quarter points and dropped a 14-13 overtime decision to the Outlaws.

The Steelers return to action on June 18 in Sarnia against the Imperials before returning home to host Tri-City on June 25 at Rocky DiPietro Field.

In other NFC action on Saturday, the Oakville Longhorns held on to beat Sudbury Spartans 26-21 in Oakville. The Longhorns now sit at 1-2 while the Spartans drop to 1-1.

In Ottawa, the Ottawa Invaders beat the GTA All-Stars 15-14. The win improves Ottawa’s record to 2-1 while it’s GTA’s first loss of the season as the All-Stars now sit at 2-1.
