SSMAC'S OLESKIW WINS BRONZE AT JR. PROVINCIALS

A four-member Sault Ste. Marie Aquatic Club contingent competed at the Junior Short Course Provincials held in London over the weekend, returning with impressive results.

Wendy Oleskiw, 14, won a bronze medal in the 50-metre freestyle. Oleskiw also had a fifth place finish in the 100-metre freestyle.

Becky Day, 13, finished sixth in the 400-metre freestyle and ninth in the 200-metre freestyle events.

Sarah Theodossiou, 12, finished sixteenth in the 50-metre freestyle and during relay action, broke the 30 second mark in 50-metre freestyle leg of the race.

Competing in her first Provincial Championships, ten-year old Hannah Murray placed seventh in the 50-metre freestyle (33.45 sec.).
