After the Soo Greyhounds pulled away slightly from the Sarnia Sting on Saturday night, the Sting pulled back to within one point of the Greyhounds in the standings thanks to a 5-2 win over the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday afternoon.
Reid Boucher scored three times for the Sting in the win. Nickolas Latta chipped in with a pair of goals. Defenceman Anthony DeAngelo assisted on four goals. Alex Basso added three assists for Sarnia. Sting goaltender JP Anderson stopped 37 shots. Warren Steele assisted on both goals for Kingston in the loss.
In Windsor, Tyler Bertuzzi scored a pair of goals to lead the Guelph Storm to a 6-3 win over the Windsor Spitfires. Andrey Pedan assisted on three goals in the win. Brock McGinn added a goal and an assist for Guelph. Alex Aleardi had a goal and two assists for Windsor.
In Kitchener, Tobias Rieder scored three times and assisted on another goal as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Erie Otters 11-4. Justin Bailey scored twice and assisted on two goals as well in the win. Brent Pedersen had two goals and an assist for Kitchener. Joshua Leivo (one goal, one assist), Josh Sterk (one goal, one assist), Max Iafrate (one goal, one assist), Ben Thomson (two assists) and Ryan Murphy (two assists) also had multi-point nights for Kitchener. Adam Pelech scored twice for Erie. Connor Brown added two assists for the Otters.
In Brampton, defenceman Marcus McIvor scored a pair of goals to lead the Brampton Battalion to a 4-1 win over the Sudbury Wolves. Barclay Goodrow and Matt MacLeod also scored for the Battalion. Dominik Kubalik scored the lone goal for Sudbury.
In Oshawa, Lucas Lessio scored twice and had an assist as the Oshawa Generals beat the Belleville Bulls 8-2. Scott Laughton added a goal and two assists for Oshawa. Josh Brown, Matt Petgrave, Boone Jenner and Geoffrey Schemitsch each chipped in with two assists in the win. Austen Brassard and Brady Austin scored for Belleville in the loss.
