The Ontario Hockey League final is set.

Thanks to a convincing 7-2 win on Sunday afternoon, the Erie Otters advance after winning the Western Conference final in six games over the Owen Sound Attack.

Anthony Cirelli, acquired by the Otters at the trade deadline from the Oshawa Generals, scored three times and assisted on another goal in the win. Dylan Strome chipped in with two goals and an assist while Warren Foegele and Darren Raddysh also had three-point nights with a goal and two assists each.

Erie goaltender Troy Timpano stopped 31 shots.

Petrus Palmu and Aidan Dudas scored for the Attack while goaltender Michael McNiven made 26 saves.

The Otters will now face the Mississauga Steelheads in the OHL final, which begins on Thursday night in Erie.

The Steelheads advanced thanks to a four-game sweep of the Peterborough Petes in the Eastern Conference Final.

Around the Canadian Hockey League, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final is set as the Saint John Sea Dogs will face the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada with the series beginning on Friday night in Saint John.

The Sea Dogs are coached by former Soo Greyhounds assistant coach Danny Flynn.

Saint John advanced thanks to a 4-2 series win over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens while the Armada advanced with a 4-1 series win over the Charlottetown Islanders.

In the Western Hockey League, the league final was set on Sunday night as the Regina Pats and Seattle Thunderbirds each advanced.

Regina beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes in six games while the Thunderbirds beat the Kelowna Rockets, also in six games, to move on.

The series between the Pats and Thunderbirds opens on Friday night in Regina.

The three league champions will advance to the 2017 MasterCard Memorial Cup, which opens on May 19 in Windsor, Ont. at the WFCU Centre.
