Notre-Dame-du-Sault crowned NOSSA senior volleyball champs

The girls’ senior volleyball team from École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault displayed fine skills and played with passion during the Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Division B (NOSSA) championship.

Held on Saturday, Feb. 25 in Sudbury, this championship brought together teams from ÉS Notre-Dame-du-Sault, ÉSC La Renaissance (Espanola), ÉSC Élizabeth-Bruyère (Mattawa) and ÉS of Rivière-des-Français (Noëlville).

Due to its perfect record in the preliminary round, the Voyageurs of ÉS Notre-Dame-du-Sault advanced to the championship game and faced the team from Mattawa’s ÉSC Élizabeth-Bruyère.

The Voyageurs played with determination and captured the Division banner with a 13-25, 26-24, 15-6 win.
