NOSSA basketball set to tip on Friday

The Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Association (NOSSA) girls basketball champions will be crowned this weekend with the AAA and AA titles to be determined in Sault Ste. Marie.

In Sudbury, the NOSSA 'A' championship will be settled with the St. Basil Saints representing the city in the senior division.

In AA at St. Mary's, the St. Mary's Knights will challenge for the senior crown while St. Basil and the Sir James Dunn Eagles are the local entries in the junior division.

In AAA at Korah, the Korah Colts and Mount St. Joseph College Royals are local representatives in the senior division while Korah and St. Mary's will compete in junior.

In senior action, a NOSSA championship means a berth into the Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association (OFSAA) provincial championships being held in Sarnia (AAA), Prescott (AA) and Sturgeon Falls (A).
