North Stars take another in Timmins

The Soo North Stars finished their two game weekend series against the Timmins Majors today in Timmins with an 8-2 win.

David Quesnele had a big day with a hat trick while Zac LaRue had a goal and four assists.

Scoring for the Stars were: 1. Christopher Buonomo from Michael Schug at 2:56 of the first period on the power play. 2. David Quesnele from Zac LaRue and Alex Cruise at 9:43 of the second period. 3. Michael Schug from Luke O'Brien and Bronson Kovacs at 4:56 of the second on the power play. 4. David Quesnele from Zac LaRue and Tyler Hawdon at 19:45 of the third period. 5. David Quesnele from Tyler Hawdon and Zac LaRue at 17:20 of the third period. 6. Tyler Evoy from Gregory Sartoretto and Kurtis Travaglini at 15:58 of the third period. 7. Zac LaRue from Tyler Hawdon and Dylan Connolly at 5:47 of the third period. 8. Gregory Sartoretto from Alex Cruise and Zac LaRue at 0:42 of the third period on the power play. Next action for the North Stars is on the road in Sudbury next weekend when they play the Nickel City Sons Saturday evening and the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves on Sunday. The following weekend, the North Stars defend their Big Nickel Tournament Championship in Sudbury.
