The Soo North Stars suffered their first blemish at the regional playdowns but will now prepare for semi-final action on Saturday.

The North Stars closed the round robin portion of the Ontario Hockey Federation Midget AAA Regional Championships in Toronto with a 4-1 loss to the Don Mills Flyers in showdown between two teams that were 5-0 heading into the game.

Paul Dupont scored the lone goal for the locals.

With the loss, the North Stars finished in second place at 5-1 and will meet the London Jr. Knights in semi-final play on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the winner heading to Sunday's gold medal game and the loser to the bronze medal contest.

Don Mills will play the fourth place Gloucester Rangers in the other semi-final.
