It's on to the Great North Midget Hockey League semi-finals for the Soo North Stars following a quarterfinal win over the Kapuskasing Flyers.

Adam Kauppi scored three goals as the North Stars completed a three-game sweep of Kap on Saturday with a 6-4 road victory. Kyle Rodgers, David Turco and Michael D'Agostini also scored for the Soo. The North Stars begin a semi-final series with New Liskeard on Saturday when they play the Cubs in a 7 p.m. game at John Rhodes Community Centre. Game two will be on Sunday, 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
