North Stars Lose Game One of Champoinship Series On the road in Sudbury tonight, the North Stars lost game one of the best of five championship series by a score of 5-2.

The North Stars were the first on the score board at the 7:11 mark of the first period. Sudbury tied the score at the 2:03 mark of the first period on the power play.

Sudbury then scored at the 0:54 mark of the second period to go into the dressing room after two with a 2-1 lead.

The North Stars scored at the 16:16 mark of the third to tie the game at two apiece. At the 15:22 mark the Wolves went ahead again and then scored at the 7:34 mark. With Sudbury killing a five minute major the North Stars pulled starting goalie Justin Hogsden for an extra attacker. Sudbury scored an empty netter at the 0:49 mark to win 5-2. Scoring for the North Stars were:

1. Zac LaRue from Dylan Connolly and Luke O'Brien at 7:11 of the first period. 2. Luke O'Brien from Zac LaRue and Christopher Buonomo at 16:16 of the third period. Scoring for Sudbury were:

1. Deven Stillar from Stefan Herrington at 2:03 of the first period on the power play. 2. Kyllian Kirkwood unassisted at 0:54 of the second period. 3. Mathieu Lecours from Ryan Johnston and Devin Lockeyer at 15:22 of the third period. 4. Deven Stillar unassisted at 7:34 of the third period. 5. Mathieu Lecours from Ryan Johnston at 0:49 of the third into an empty net. Next action is Sunday at 2:50pm at Countryside Arena here in Sudbury. ***********************************************************
