North Stars complete sweep of Cubs

The Soo North Stars completed a Great North Midget League sweep of the New Liskeard Cubs on Sunday afternoon with an 8-1 victory at the John Rhodes Community Centre.

The victory follows an 11-0 win on Saturday night.

With nine wins and a loss in the GNML, the North Stars remain two points behind the unbeaten Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves (10-0).

Tyler Evoy, David Quesnele and Greg Sartoretto paced the locals with two goals each in Sunday`s win. Remo Febbraro recorded the win in goal.

Next action for the North Stars next weekend in Timmins for a pair of games. The North Stars return home November 10-11 to host the North Bay Trappers.
