The Soo North Stars scored a 5-2 road win over the New Liskeard Cubs on Saturday to sweep their best-of-five semi-final and advance to the Great North Midget Hockey League championship series.

David Turco had a big game for the North Stars with two goals and two assists. Trevor Solomon, Adam Combs and Adam Kauppi also scored for the North Stars, who are a perfect 6-0 in the post season. Andrew Harrison and Michael D'Agostini chipped in with a pair of assists apiece for the North Stars.
