The Soo North Stars have won their first two games at the Steel City International Hockey Tournament.

The Soo North Stars have won their first two games at the Steel City International Hockey Tournament. David Turco scored two goals as the North Stars -- competing in the AAA midget division -- upended Wisconsin 5-2 in Friday morning action at the John Rhodes Community Centre. Chris Towell, Michael D'Agostini and Nick Tombari also scored for the Soo. Goalie Travis O'Brien posted the victory. On Thursday, Cory Sewell triggered two goals as the North Stars opened the tournament with a 4-1 win over the Colorado Arapahoe Ice Warriors. Sewell also added an assist, while Michael Sharp and Turco rounded out the North Star scoring in support of goalie Michael Maulucci.

The North Stars have two games on Saturday, at 8:30 a.m. against Capitol City and then at 8:30 p.m. against Shattuck St. Marys, both at the Rhodes Centre.
