Nominations sought for local Hockey Hall of Fame

SAULT STE. MARIE HOCKEY HALL OF FAME

************************* Nominations are now being accepted for the 2006 induction into the Sault Ste. Marie Hockey Hall of Fame.

The general public is invited to submit name(s), a completed nomination form and a detailed description of the accomplishments, in writing, no later than Jan. 5, 2007.

Those eligible for selection must meet the following criteria: "Anyone connected with the sport of hockey, whether they be builder, player, on-ice official, or team, that has attained significant recognition and/or fame in the City or for the City in their pursuits relative to hockey."

Nomination forms are available at the Steelback Centre administration office at 269 Queen Street East.

Nominations should be sent to the Hockey Hall of Fame Selection Committee, c/o Mr. Norman Fera, Manager, Community Centres & Marine Facilities Division, Steelback Centre, 269 Queen St. E., P6A 1Y9.
