The Sault Sabercats control their own Ontario Varsity Football League playoff destiny.

On Saturday, the Sabercats host the Toronto Thunder in their final regular season game and a win will vault the locals into the postseason.

Game time is 1 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field.

Currently, the Sabercats are in a three-way tie with the Brantford Bisons and Brampton Bulldogs for the final two playoff positions in the conference with 4-3 records.

Should the Sabercats and Bulldogs remained tied in the standings, the Sabercats will get the tiebreaking nod based on a better record with common opponents.

The locals do have the tougher schedule on the final weekend as the Thunder (5-2) need a win to have a chance at a division title while Brampton plays the Ottawa Cumberland Panthers (1-6) and Brantford suits up against the York Storm (1-6).
