National Supply suffers tough loss

The Sault National Supply AAA Pee Wee Majors are still looking for their first win at the All-Ontario Pee Wee AAA Championships in Leamington after falling 4-3 to the host Sun County Panthers on Tuesday.

The Sault National Supply AAA Pee Wee Majors are still looking for their first win at the All-Ontario Pee Wee AAA Championships in Leamington after falling 4-3 to the host Sun County Panthers on Tuesday.

After Kurt Barbarie's power play goal late in the second period gave National Supply a 3-2 lead, the Panthers rallied with two goals in the third period to skate to the win.

Derek Battagin and Daniel Pyymaki each added a goal and an assist for the Sault while Patrick Watling recorded a pair of helpers.

The locals now sit at 0-2-1 in the round robin with two games scheduled for Wednesday. At 9 a.m., National Supply meets the London Jr. Knights followed a match with the Thunder Bay Kings at 5 p.m.
