Monday's Mayor's Cup results

Just a pair of open division games were on the slate Monday in the Mayor's Cup City Men's Hockey League playoff championship.

In the opening game, Gary Roach scored four goals and assisted on two others to lead Clarica/Blueliners to a 13-7 win over the Wawa Travelers Alumni.

Al DiPasquo scored two goals and added three assists for the winners while Dan Galarneau and Beau Neveau each scored twice and added a helper. Brad Baber, with three assists, John Bossio, with two assists, and Cory Evans, who added a single assist, scored once each. Mike Flammia recorded four assists and Paul Spina three.

Tyler Gendron and Ian Jamieson each replied with three goals and an assist for the Alumni while Kyle Wood scored once and set up another.

In the other contest, Foggy Notions defeated the Soo Kings 6-4 on the strength of two goals and two assists from the stick of Frank Porco. Chris Felix added a goal and three assists while Denny Lambert and Kevin MacKay notched a goal and two assists each. Paul Godfrey also scored for Foggy Notions.

Rob Paluhnuk replied with two goals and an assist for the Kings with Jeff Green and Gary Armstrong adding a goal and an assist each. Nick Chanis recorded two assists.
