It appears that former Soo Greyhounds captain Colin Miller has re-signed with the Boston Bruins

According to Renaud Lavoie of TVASports, the 23-year-old has signed a two-year contract, worth $2 million, with the Boston Bruins.

It is thought to be a one-way deal, which means his salary remains the same whether he plays with the Bruins or in the American Hockey League with the Providence Bruins, Boston’s minor league affiliate.

Miller entered the summer as a restricted free agent after his entry-level contract expired at the end of the season.

He spent much of the 2015-16 season with the Bruins. Miller played in 42 games with Boston, scoring three goals and 16 points.

He also suited up in 20 games with Providence, scoring four goals and 12 points.

Miller was acquired by the Bruins at the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in a deal that sent Milan Lucic to the Los Angeles Kings.

Miller spent his first two seasons in pro hockey with the Kings AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs.

After posting five goals and 17 points in his first season with the Monarchs, Miller exploded for 19 goals and 52 points in 70 games with Manchester in the 2014-15 season, a season that saw him win the fastest skater and hardest shot competitions at the AHL all-star game.

In 174 games with the Greyhounds, Miller scored 31 goals and 105 points in three seasons with the team.
