After going 1-1 to open the Gregg Johnson Memorial Tournament in Escanaba, the Soo Black Sox wrapped up the tournament with a pair of losses on Saturday.

In their first game, against Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the Black Sox got an outstanding start from Jake Yukich. Yukich carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning only to see Sheboygan break up the bid with four straight hits, three which scored runs. The three runs were the only three of the game as Sheboygan won the game by a 3-0 score.

In the loss, the Black Sox managed just three singles.

The Black Sox were officially eliminated from the tournament later in the day when they dropped a 9-0 decision to Kimberley, also from Wisconsin. A sloppy game defensively led to the loss. Kimberley scored their nine runs on just four hits.

Tyler Binkley pitched two innings, taking the loss after giving up four runs in the second inning. Kyle Sayers came in and pitched five innings, striking out 11 hitters and giving up just one hit.

Nick Moon and Kyle Sayers had the only two hits for the Black Sox, both singles.

The Black Sox next action is when they head to Sault, Michigan to take on the EUP Travelers in Great Lakes Baseball League action. Game time is 6 p.m. at James Field.
