Mayor's Cup semi-final pairings set

It's down to eight teams for two division championships at the Mayor's Cup City Men's Hockey League playoff championship.

In the open division, the first place Clarica/Blueliners (4-0-1) will meet fourth place Assante Capital/Mr. Transmission (2-3) on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. while the second seeded Foogy Notions (4-1) play third place Soo Kings (2-1-2) on Friday at 9:30 p.m.

In the 33+ division, Stitch King/Weedman will take their perfect 5-0 record up against the fourth place American Mohawks (2-3) at 8 p.m. on Thursday while Friday's 8 p.m. contest features second place Tulloch Engineering (3-1-1) and third place Mr. Transmission (2-2-1).

The eventual semi-final winners will meet for the Mayor's Cup on Saturday beginning with the 33+ championship at 8 p.m. and the open division title game at 9:30 p.m.

All games are scheduled for the Pee Wee Arena.
