MATTI RETURNS TO STORM

The Sault Storm will welcome the return of an old friend when it plays host to the Markham Raiders in Northern Football Conference action this Saturday at 7 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field. After missing last week's season opener in North Bay, tight end Matti Tucker will be in the line-up for the Storm on Saturday. Tucker, who played high school ball at Korah, has been with the Storm since it entered the NFC in 1996. He previously played for the Storm when it was a part of the Ontario Junior Football Conference. "Matti brings so much to the team in terms of experience and quiet leadership," said Storm head coach Barry Rushon. While Tucker is back with the Storm, rookie wide receiver Ron Kelly likely won't be in the line-up on Saturday. Kelly has qualified for the all-Ontario high school track and field championships in Belleville and is scheduled to compete on Saturday afternoon. "I doubt very much that he'll be able to make it back in time," said Rushon.
