St. Mary's Richard MacLennan captured Sault Ste. Marie's lone gold at the OFSAA track and field championships which concluded on the weekend in Toronto.

St. Mary's Richard MacLennan captured Sault Ste. Marie's lone gold at the OFSAA track and field championships which concluded on the weekend in Toronto.

MacLennan took the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations championship in the midget boys 400 metre dash in 51.15 seconds.

In the long jump, MacLennan also posted another top effort by finishing in fourth place with a jump of 6.14 metres.
