The Soo Greyhounds nearly became the first team to take a bite out of the London Knights.

After the Greyhounds took a 2-0 lead after one period, the Knights used four second period goals to skate to a 4-2 win over the Hounds in front of 9,030 fans at the John Labatt Centre in London on Sunday afternoon.

The win improves the Knights unbeaten streak to 23 games to start the season. London's record now stands at 22-0-1.

Blair Jarrett scored his eighth of the season on the power play at 6:41 before Matt Puntureri added another 2:14 later for the early lead.

Danny Syvret on the power play and Trevor Kell scored for the Knights to tie the game at 2-2 before Dylan Hunter and David Bolland scored 10 seconds apart late in the second period.

The Knights fired 36 shots on Jakub Cech while the Hounds replied with 26 shots.

The Greyhounds, who fall to 1-2 on a five-game road swing, fell to 9-11-3 overall on the season.

The locals return home before heading to Saginaw on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Sarnia on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Next home action for the Greyhounds is Sunday against the Guelph Storm at 7 p.m. to open a four-game home stand at Memorial Gardens.
