Local figure skaters headed to provincial competition

Eight Lake Superior Figure Skating Club skaters will compete in Mississauga this weekend

LAKE SUPERIOR FIGURE SKATING CLUB

The Lake Superior Figure Skating Club skaters Emilie Vezina, Lilia Anne Pelletier, Emma Carlucci, Yvonne Barnes, Cassie Grenier, Emily Coutu, Hannah Martin and Delaney Schumacher from the Wawa FSC, who trains part time at the LSFSC, have qualified for the 2019 Skate Ontario Provincial Championship which is being held in Mississauga, Ont. this weekend (March 7-10, 2019.)

Lake Superior Skaters will compete in the following events:

  • Emily Coutu - Star 5 U13
  • Emma Carlucci - Star 6
  • Hannah Martin - Star 6
  • Lilia Ann Pelletier - Bronze Triathlon
  • Delaney Schumacher - Bronze Triathlon, Star 8
  • Cassie Grenier - Pre Juvenile U13
  • Yvonne Barnes - Pre Juvenile U13
  • Emilie Vezina - Pre Novice

The LSFSC coaching team and Board of Directors would like to wish our skaters the best of luck this weekend as they represent the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club at the Skate Ontario Provincial Championships!

“We are very proud of each skater who qualified; they have worked hard all season in order to achieve their goal of performing a personal best in the final Super Series. We are thrilled to have a team of Skaters representing Sault Ste. Marie at the 2019 Skate Ontario Provincial Championships,” said their head coach and director of skating, Kerry Bain.
