Laird Raceway cancels tonight's program

Stock car action at Laird International Raceway has been cancelled for tonight. Action will resume on Monday at 6 p.m. with qualifying followed by racing at 7 p.m. The following statement was released by LIR officials shortly after 4 p.m.

Stock car action at Laird International Raceway has been cancelled for tonight.

Action will resume on Monday at 6 p.m. with qualifying followed by racing at 7 p.m.

The following statement was released by LIR officials shortly after 4 p.m.:

Racing at Laird International Raceway has been cancelled this evening.

It has been raining heavily out in Echo Bay and the result is that the track is soaked (apparently there is a big puddle on corner 4) and the bleachers are the same way.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
