Laird postpones Thursday's season opener

With the weather uncertain, Laird International Raceway has decided to cancel Thursday's season opener for the local stock car season. Drivers and track workers will get another week of preparation before the next scheduled date on Thursday, May 26.

With the weather uncertain, Laird International Raceway has decided to cancel Thursday's season opener for the local stock car season.

Drivers and track workers will get another week of preparation before the next scheduled date on Thursday, May 26.

Action begins with time trials at 6:15 p.m. followed by racing at 7 p.m.

LIR is located on Lake George Road just east of Echo Bay on Highway 17.
