In Girls 'AA' OFSAA Basketball action in New Liskeard, the St. Mary's Knights, advanced to the Gold Medal game by defeating East Elgin of Aylmer 31-30.

The Knights trailed the whole game, but slowly showed their character and patience to come from behind and win the game.

Denney had an outstanding game both offensively and defensively and led all scorers with 13 points. Kathleen Thorburn hit clutch shots at the right time and contributed with 10 points. Vanessa Chaimbrone chipped in with 6 points and Kira Favaro added 4.

The Knights will play two-time 'AA' OFSSA Champs General Amherst of Amherstburg in the Gold Medal game at 4 p.m.
