Jr. Greyhounds crowned Atom AA OHF champions this weekend

They pulled out a 10-1 victory over the London Jr. Knights

The Atom AA Soo Jr. Greyhounds returned from Belle River as Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) champions this past weekend.

Compiling a record of 3-0-1 in the round robin portion of the tournament, the Jr. Hounds faced the Leaside Flames in the semi-finals and came out on top 5-1.

They went on to face the London Jr. Knights in the finals, and were crowned champions with a 10-1 victory.

Goals were scored by the Jr. Greyounds' Owen Sanderson, Aiden Atkinson, Nathan Dupuis, Gavin Killoran, and Brock Chitaroni. 

Danny Macdonald pulled off two goals in the third period and 

Nik Rossetto managed a hat trick.

Forward Headrick was named Tournament MVP, and Rossetto, Top Forward.

The team earned the right to represent Northern Ontario in the Ontario championships, where they were crowned Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA) champions in March.

They compiled an overall season record of 44 wins, 11 losses, and 7 ties, and maintained the #1 ranking among 82 Atom AA teams in Ontario.
