Indians have won three of four since coaching change A weekend road split has kept the Soo Indians in second place in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League with 42 points, just two back of the pace-setting Sudbury Kal Tire Jr. Wolves. The Indians lost 5-2 at North Bay on Friday night before rebounding to defeat Abitibi 4-3 on Saturday evening. The Indians now have a 3-1 record since owner Charlie Perdicaro fired coach Jim Capy and later replaced him with Kevin Cain. All four games were played on the road in a seven-day span. Friday night at North Bay, Sean Farley had both Indians' goals in the 5-2 loss. Saturday vs. Abitibi, Farley, Sam Yearsley, Scott Pulak and Nick Novak scored for the Indians in the 4-3 win in support of the 33-save effort of Brennan Podzerzay. Farley now has 24 goals on the season. With a record of 22-10-2, the Indians play at Sudbury on Wednesday before returning home for games against the Soo Thunderbirds on Fri. Jan. 19 and the Manitoulin Islanders on Sun. Jan. 21 at Big Bear Arena.
