Miles Williams heading home to play Soo Indians Abitibi Eskimos goaltending sensation Miles Williams returns home to the Michigan Soo on Friday night when his Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League team plays the Soo Indians in a 7 p.m. match at Big Bear Arena. Williams has been in net for every Abitibi victory since being acquired from Traverse City of the North American Hockey League. He sports an 11-2-1 record to go with a 2.31 goals against average and .917 save percentage. Abitibi, which has 25 points from an 11-7-3 record, was 0-5-2 before the arrival of Williams. Following a 2-1 win over North Bay on Wednesday evening, Abitibi has moved into second place in the NOJHL, one point ahead of the Indians, who lost a 9-6 road decision to the Sudbury Kal Tire Junior Wolves on Wednesday. Nick Novak, Mike Connolly, Sean Farley, Canadian Soo product Dan Vernelli, Ky Moje and Isaac Viau scored for the Indians, who were outshot 49-42.
