Indians lose at Sudbury; finally return home this weekend For the first time since Dec. 16, the Soo Indians will play a Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League game on home ice when they face the crossriver Soo Thunderbirds this Friday at 7 p.m. at Big Bear Arena. The Indians are also home on Sunday when the Manitoulin Islanders pay a 7 p.m. visit to Big Bear. Having played seven straight games on the road, the Indians ended the month-long hiatus from home ice by losing 3-1 to the first-place Sudbury Kal Tire Jr. Wolves on Wednesday evening. Sam Yearsley scored the only goal for the Indians, who remain in second place in the NOJHL with 42 points. "We had our chances, but we are still having trouble scoring goals," noted Indians' head coach Kevin Cain about the Sudbury game. Still, the Indians have a 3-2 record since Jim Capy was fired as head coach and all five games have been played on the road in an 11-day span.
