In the house: Sault College to host provincial curling championship

Top post-secondary teams in Ontario will compete locally for spot in national championship

Some of the top college curlers in the province will be in Sault Ste. Marie next week competing in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Curling Championship.

The three-day event begins on Feb. 8 with all draws being held at the YNCU Curling Centre.

The tournament will feature teams from colleges across Ontario competing for a spot in the national championship. A total of 15 teams from six schools will be taking part in the tournament in the men's, women's and mixed divisions.

The opening draw begins at 8:30 a.m. and the three draws will be held daily through the finals on Feb. 10.

The OCAA Curling Championship will be open to the public with free admission.
