9th Annual Ice Breaker Cup Hockey Tournament

The 9th Annual Ice Breaker Cup Hockey Tournament was held November 4-6, 2005 in Sault Ste Marie. There were twenty seven (27) teams participating in four (4) divisions.

All Championship games took place on Sunday, November 06, 2005 at the Rhodes arena with the following results.

*** 7500 Taxi - Junior House League Championship Game

Midland IceBreakers defeated Thessalon Junior Lions in the gold medal game 2-0. Scoring for Midland was Gala Klotz and Christina Druskins. MVP for Midland was Larissa Sian and MVP for Thessalon was Katie Golec.

Bronze medals went to SSM IC Mechanical and SSM Flakeboard. MVP for IC Mechanical was Kalen Critchley and Kaila Kaldma for Flakeboard.

Exit Reality-Intermediate House League Championship Game

In the gold medal game SSM Station Mall defeated Escanaba EMP 2-1. Station Mall goals were scored by Erica Aceti and Ariel Williams with Felicia Wirhanowicz scoring the lone goal for Escanaba. MVP for Station Mall was Laura Clement and MVP for Escanaba was Kelsey Millette.

The bronze medal went SSM Best Western and SSM Holiday Inn. MVP for Best Western was Tamarah Tyczinski and Emillie Poliquin for Holiday Inn.

Superior Digital Solutions - Bantam BB Championship Game

AOE / Service Master Bantam Wildcats won the gold medal defeating the Marquette Iron Rangers 1-0 in the finals. The lone goal for the Wildcats was scored by Brianne Veale and Kelsey Bentrovato registered the shut out for the Wildcats. MVP for the Wildcats was Brianne Veale and Whitney Brugman was MVP for the Iron Rangers.

The bronze medals went to the Grand Rapids GRAHA Griffins and the Mara Tech/National Supply Pee Wee Wildcats. The Wildcats MVP was Jessica Fabbro and MacKenzie Ritsema was MVP for Grand Rapids.

Ubetcha Midget AA Championship Game

The Midget gold medal game was won by the Marquette Iron Rangers who defeated the Mid Canada Construction Midget AA Wildcats 2-1 in the 15th period. Both Iron Rangers goals were scored by Dana Dillon with the winning goal coming with 53 seconds left in the 12th overtime period. Julia Sayers scored the lone Wildcats goal. Both goalies were named MVP, Chelsea Maynard for Marquette and Dana Desaulnier for the Wildcats.

The bronze medal went to Thunder Bay Misstix.
